What this template does and does not claim
- Cloud sync is available for signed-in users; guest work survives a browser reload.
- Library adds are blocked when the rack has no free U left for that device height.
- Each saved design holds one rack.
- The ?example= param loads once and is stripped so a reload cannot silently overwrite your work.
- RackBuilder does not store chassis weights, does not calculate BTU or circuit amps, and does not perform depth checks.
- The CyberPower PDU entry is a library placeholder; confirm the real SKU against your site standards.
Ask a licensed electrician or qualified installer before you size power, circuits, or mounting. Follow the manufacturer install guide for rails and fasteners. RackBuilder does not size structural hardware.

Can I change the 42U server template after opening it?
Yes. Opening the template creates a new design in /designer. You can move, add, or remove devices afterward. The static JSON in the repo is not modified.
Does this template size power or weight for a 42U cabinet?
No. Tips here are planning notes only. RackBuilder does not calculate BTU, circuit amps, or structural load, and it does not store chassis weights. Compare vendor nameplate and weight totals to the cabinet limits, and ask a licensed electrician or qualified installer before you size power or mounting.
